In order to re-image a CGHS Windows computer with a fresh image of Windows XP plus the standard applications, utilities, etc. perform the following steps:
  1. Shut down the computer.

  2. Start up tapping F12 to get to the boot sequence.

  3. Choose Onboard NIC (some computers will say NIC or Network Controller).

  4. Before the contdown reaches "0", press F8 and choose WinPe Menu.

  5. You will see a screen with a white loading bar, then another, then a blue screen.

  6. A screen will pop up with 2 tabs at the top: "Simple" and "Advanced" for the proper room. You can choose "simple" and then enter in the desired info, then "Begin Process".

  7. The process as a whole should take between 60 to 120 minutes (per machine) depending on different factors. You will know its done when the sign-on screen pops up and stays on. The first sign-on screen will appear after the ghost image is done, but it will install and run any scripts on its own, and then restart.
